This is the season to plant trees – in the Fall time. The reason the Fall is such a great time to plant is because the season is just before winter where trees go dormant. Therefore there is much less watering to do to establish the new tree location. Also, there is generally a good amount of rain fall this time of year also, kind of like in April. We are also deep root fertilizing trees now and again in the Spring. The ground is moist and providing nitrogen fertilizer to the root system now allows a tree to store the nutrients over the winter and use them in the Spring.
